Thread of Two Hearts
LOVE
Scott J. Lucius

A broken heart still pulses true,
Though cleaved, it beats alone,
With strings that bind both red and blue,
Their fate yet intertwined, unknown.
Two halves once whole, now torn apart,
Their edges frayed and scarred,
Yet through the dark, an ancient art,
Threads pull though time, is hard.
The golden strands, they stretch and mend,
Through pain, they stitch the seam,
Though broken paths may twist and bend,
The bond revives the dream.
Each pull, a spark of hope renewed,
Though distance stands between,
These hearts will heal, though scarred and skewed,
Their light once more serene.
For love, though fragile, never fades,
Its threads hold fast through years,
It ties the halves through time’s cascades,
And quiets all their fears.
Two hearts, one thread, they beat as one,
Though split, they always share,
The journey long, yet never done,
Their rhythm is a prayer.
